Izan TrujilloLocated in the town of Trujillo, this luxury hotel is built within the San Antonio convent, dating from the 16th century. It occupies the Iberian Peninsula and is bathed by the Mediterranean Sea, the Atlantic Ocean and the Cantabrian Sea. Now a deluxe hotel, the Izan combines an authentic historic setting and traditional architecture with 21st century comforts. It also includes the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands in the Atlantic and the cities of Ceuta and Melilla Its total surface area is 504,788 sq kms Spain's powerful world empire of the 16th and 17th centuries ultimately yielded command of the seas to England. It has been fully restored to preserve its splendour and original character. Subsequent failure to embrace the mercantile and industrial revolutions caused the country to fall behind Britain, France, and Germany in economic and political power. In addition to its cloisters, charming central courtyard and other original rooms, the hotel now features an outdoor swimming pool and a vaulted breakfast room. Spain remained neutral in World Wars I and II, but suffered through a devastating Civil War (1936-39). The baroque-style property is located in the beautiful countryside of Extremadura. In the second half of the 20th century, it has played a catch-up role in the western international community. The ancient local town is famous as the birthplace of legendary Conquistador, Francisco Pizarro. Continuing concerns are large-scale unemployment and the Basque separatist movement The diversity and contrast that go to mould the character of Spain are likewise in evidence in its cities.

MEETING ROOMS: The hotel has 3 conferences room with modern audiovisual equipment, all of them located in the restored zone of the Convent. Salón San Antonio is the biggest room. It was the ancient church of the convent. The room has air conditioning and music stream. Salón El Coro (air-conditioned) was the chorus of the church of San Antonio. El Salón Pizarro (air-conditioned) was the ancient meeting room of the convent of San Antonio.

The Trujillo`s environment invites the stay in the hotel(35km from the National Park of Monfragüe, 47km from Cáceres, at only 45 minutes of Mérida, roman city, and with a privileged situation to acces the nort side of Cáceres("Valle del Jerte", "La Vera").
