 Hilton Valencia

Hilton ValenciaThis stylish, contemporary 5-star hotel is the latest luxury hotel to open its doors in Valencia and is currently the tallest building in the city. It occupies the Iberian Peninsula and is bathed by the Mediterranean Sea, the Atlantic Ocean and the Cantabrian Sea. Situated next to Valencia’s Congress Hall, which was designed by the world-famous architect Sir Norman Foster, this avant-garde hotel is a magnificent 29-floor building with 304 comfortable, luxurious rooms featuring sleek, stylish, contemporary design and superb modern comforts. It also includes the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands in the Atlantic and the cities of Ceuta and Melilla Its total surface area is 504,788 sq kms Spain's powerful world empire of the 16th and 17th centuries ultimately yielded command of the seas to England. Each room offers impressive panoramic views over the city. Subsequent failure to embrace the mercantile and industrial revolutions caused the country to fall behind Britain, France, and Germany in economic and political power. The hotel also boasts some of the finest facilities in Valencia, with 2 high class restaurants and a bar specialising in malt whiskies with the widest range of brands available in the city. Spain remained neutral in World Wars I and II, but suffered through a devastating Civil War (1936-39). The superb relaxation facilities include the health club and DSPACIO spa. In the second half of the 20th century, it has played a catch-up role in the western international community. With business guests in mind, the hotel’s excellent meeting facilities include 16 Hilton Meeting Rooms and a ballroom that can accommodate up to 800 people. Continuing concerns are large-scale unemployment and the Basque separatist movement The diversity and contrast that go to mould the character of Spain are likewise in evidence in its cities.
